The Associated Chambers of Commerce of India said that the uncertainty surrounding graphic health warnings is threatening the livelihood of more than 45 million people engaged in the tobacco industry, reports Hindu Business Line.

On April 1, cigarette makers ITC, Godfrey Phillips and VST Industries suspended production citing ambiguity in the government’s new rule requiring graphic health warnings to cover 85 percent of the pack surface.
