US deeming-regulations webinar

The US Food and Drug Administration is due to hold on July 13 a live ‘deeming-rule’ question-and-answer webinar for businesses that manufacture or import tobacco products. FDA experts will respond to questions the agency has received from the industry and additional questions that webinar viewers submit during the live session.

The webinar is due to start at 13.00 Eastern Time.

The deeming regulations, which were published earlier this year and which are due to come into force next month, provide the framework for the FDA to regulate at federal level those tobacco and nicotine products that it previously did not regulate – those apart from cigarettes, roll-your-own tobacco and oral tobacco.
