FDA launches new submission system

 FDA launches new submission system

The US Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Tobacco Products (CTP) has launched a new portal to provide a ‘convenient, secure system for electronically submitting documents and receiving messages from CTP’.

In a Compliance Update, the CTP said the system was generally available seven days a week and that it provided confirmation of receipt if an upload was successful.

‘CTP also provides a free program, eSubmitter, which you can download to your PC, to help you prepare and package the information you want to submit,’ the update said. ‘When you are ready to submit the information, you can do so using the “upload” feature in CTP Portal.

‘Alternatively, you can load it onto CD/DVD/flash drive to be mailed to CTP.

‘Submissions may also be delivered by courier or physical mail.’

The CTP said, however, that it could not accept regulatory submissions by e-mail.
