Schneeberger to lead leaf operations

The board of directors of U.S. Tobacco Cooperative (USTC) has named Jim Schneeberger senior vice president of leaf operations and sales effective Nov. 20, 2017.

Schneeberger’s new role is an integral part of a company-wide restructuring effort aimed at meeting international and domestic demand for U.S. flue-cured tobacco while driving volume and growth.

He will be responsible for green leaf purchasing, market centers, green storage, leaf blending, leaf processing, leaf inventory and leaf sales.

Reporting to Schneeberger will be Mike Lynch (senior vice president leaf sales), Mat Wrenn (director of stemmery operations), Wayne Crawford (senior vice president leaf acquisitions) and Declan Curran (director of leaf integrity and compliance).

USTC is a grower-owned marketing cooperative located in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.
