Duty-free event breaking records

According to the February issue of the TFWA’s Evoice publication, 281 companies have reserved stand space at this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference.

Fifty two of the companies will be exhibiting for the first time at the event, or will be returning after a break from exhibiting.

The exhibition and conference are to be held at the Marina Bay Sands complex in Singapore on May 8-12.

An Evoice report said the list of companies that had reserved space at the event was ‘longer than ever’ and that the heightened interest had led to the exhibition area’s being extended.

‘Despite the recent volatility in duty free and travel retail’s largest region by turnover, confidence for the longer term is high,’ the report said.
