 Russia looks at timely ban

Russian lawmakers have submitted to the State Duma a bill that would ban the sale of tobacco products between 23.00 and 08.00 local time, according to a story in Delovoy Peterburg, relayed by the TMA.

The document comprises a series of amendments to the law on protecting the health of citizens from tobacco smoke and the effects of tobacco consumption.

It is worth noting, however, that Russia has so many time zones that a smoker willing to travel far enough would probably always be able to find a shop in Russia willing to sell her a pack of cigarettes.
