Imperial makes board appointment

Imperial Brands has appointed Therese Esperdy as an independent non-executive director.

Esperdy, who joins the company’s board today, will be a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Succession & Nominations Committees.

She has had considerable international investment banking experience and is currently a non-executive director and chairman of the Finance Committee of National Grid Plc.

“I’m delighted to welcome Therese to the board,” said chairman Mark Williamson.

“Her wealth of international experience, including in the US, will be a great asset to the board and will further enhance its diverse global experience.”
